Of course, perhaps you’re a weeaboo who’s gone through the last ten years concentrating on Japanese culture while you stroke off, in which case you could know what I just realized on Wikipedia: Kemono essentially signifies “monster,” and it’s not unexpected shy of Kemonomimi, which is “the idea of portraying human and human-like characters with creature ears, and likewise, different highlights like tails.”
